One room, one day.

  1. 06:15Dawn

Before sunrise the sea turns silver and the room has no shadows. The concrete reads soft, almost like paper.

  2. 12:30Noon

A 3.2 m roof overhang keeps the midday sun out on the terrace. Inside, the light is reflected, cool and even.

  3. 18:20Dusk

The living room faces west. In the last hour the sun comes in low and climbs the board-formed wall.

  4. 21:00Night

At night the glass goes dark and one lamp is enough. Fittings sit low, so the sea stays visible.

Five plots, one headland.

Each house sits on its own walled plot, set back from the cliff edge so neighbours never look into each other's rooms.
